The 5^th Annual Cars & Cannons Vintage Car Show kicked off with the backdrop of cool breezes and clear skies at historic Fort Clinch on Saturday. Enthusiasts and history buffs gathered to view the remarkable collection of sixty vintage cars within the historic walls of the fort. Visiting Fort Clinch State Park is special anytime, but the day of the Cars and Cannons Vintage Car Show was a bonus.

With an estimated attendance of 1,375 attendees, this year's event surpassed last year's turnout, underscoring the growing popularity of the Cars & Cannons Vintage Car Show. Attendees eagerly participated in casting more than eight hundred ballots to select the "People's Choice Award" winner from the unique cars on display. The People's Choice Award went to Jennifer O’Donnell and her beautiful 1965 Volkswagen Bus.

The event was further enhanced with popular music provided by local musicians, Laid Back and 2Js (Jim and Julie Black), who serenaded the crowd. Delicious food and refreshments were provided by the Hot Dog House FL, The Sound Café, and The Visitor Center at Fort Clinch. Supporting the success of the event was sponsor Edgewater Wealth Management of Raymond James.

The Cars & Cannons Vintage Car Show is an annual collaborative effort between Auto Legends Amelia and the Friends of Fort Clinch. Auto Legends Amelia is a local group of automotive enthusiasts dedicated to showcasing and celebrating classic cars. The Friends of Fort Clinch is a citizen support organization devoted to preserving, enhancing, and supporting Fort Clinch State Park. Their contributions directly impact the conservation and promotion of this historic site, ensuring it remains a valuable cultural and educational resource for generations to come.
